The inception of the Grand Oaks Basement Separate Entrance Construction Project in Brampton arose from a client's aspiration to establish a specialized basement area for recreational activities. With the goal of seamlessly connecting the interior and exterior spaces, Northcon Corp was enlisted to construct a distinctive separate entrance on the side of the house. This design not only aimed to enhance convenience for accessing the basement but also provided a direct link to the expansive backyard and swimming pool, offering an integrated and functional approach to the overall architectural vision.

A notable aspect of this undertaking was the client's desire for the basement walkout to be set perpendicular to the existing foundation, aimed at facilitating the seamless movement of items into and out of the house. Seeking a balance between practicality and visual appeal, the client specifically sought broader steps, spanning around 5 feet in width, and a tailor-made door.

The custom door became a focal point of the project, featuring a generous width of 38 inches and a side lite. Both the door and side lite incorporated full glass inserts, strategically chosen to usher in ample natural light into the basement, creating an inviting atmosphere. To enhance privacy while maintaining flexibility, the client opted to upgrade the glass panel to accommodate mini blinds. These blinds, discreetly installed between the outer and inner glass panes, provided a practical solution for controlling light and ensuring much-needed privacy in the basement.

The construction process involved a substantial excavation, a testament to the scope and scale of the project. Despite its magnitude, Northcon Corp ensured a timely completion, demonstrating efficiency and professionalism throughout.

To complement the elegant entrance, black railings were installed, seamlessly matching the custom door and adding a sophisticated touch to the overall design.
