In the initial stages, navigating the municipal permit acquisition process presented a challenge. However, Northcon Corp demonstrated adeptness, efficiently securing the necessary approvals to proceed with the project. Subsequently, the construction schedule was meticulously orchestrated, taking into account the client's specified timeline and the inherent complexities of the project.

The scope of the basement walkout project was extensive, with particular attention to detail. The steps leading down to the basement are spacious, measuring approximately 9 feet in width, with a landing area spanning 9 feet in length and 4 feet in width. To address drainage requirements for such a large landing area, the external drain was intricately connected to a sump pump inside the basement, showcasing our expertise in managing complex drainage systems.

To achieve a polished and well-coordinated final appearance, the new double door was strategically positioned directly beneath an existing window on the main level. The installation of a custom double door, precisely designed to match the width of an existing window on the main level, shows our attention to detail. Following the installation of the custom double door, a distinct gap became apparent between the top of the door frame and the stone, a result of the higher basement ceilings. Despite the challenge posed by high basement ceilings, we added a transom piece with frosted glass, creating a seamless and aesthetically pleasing transition from door to stone.

Safety and aesthetics converged with the installation of black railings, featuring grab rails for added security. The end result was a meticulously planned and executed separate entrance that not only met the client's specific requirements but also added a touch of sophistication to the overall look and feel of the home.
